Avant l’entrée en préquarantaine les animaux destinés à l’exportation sont testés avec résultats négatifs vis-à-vis de la paratuberculose par méthode PCR. Les échantillons sont poolés. Tous les ovins /caprins destinés à l’exportation ont été isolés (de façon à ce qu’il n’y ait aucun contact direct ou indirect avec d’autres animaux) pendant les 30 jours précédant l’exportation, dans une structure sous le contrôle d’un vétérinaire officiel du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Zélande.
