thin free-flowing liquid

Fully dry : about 24 hours.
Drying time will vary according to temperature, humidity and surface, i.e. the drying times quoted will be

24 hours, the full mechanical and chemical resistance of the finish will take longer to fully develop.

Cleaning Up :
After use, remove as much product from the brush as possible before cleaning
with white spirit. Spills may be cleaned up with white spirit whilst still wet. SURFACE PREPARATION

All traces of grease, wax and polish must be completely removed. Wood should be dry.
New or bare wood:
Clean weathered and dirty wood using a stiff brush, detergent and water. Rinse and
allow to dry. Grey weathered wood should be sanded to a clean bright surface.
Wood previously treated with a penetrating treatment, i.e. Xyladecor Total Wood Care: Remove any
loose or defective coating. Touch up bare areas before final coats.
Wood previously treated with a paint, varnish or other film-forming product: this must be removed by
scraping or sanding. Then treat as bare wood.

Stir or shake well before and during use. Apply 2 – 3 even coats with a brush to achieve a total application
rate of 5m²/litre. Apply in the direction of the wood grain, taking care to produce an even finish and avoid
overlap. Wipe with a dry brush 15-20 minutes after application to achieve a uniform appearance. To achieve
maximum protection, apply to all surfaces. Apply a minimum of 3 coats to end-grain surfaces to reduce the
washing out of coloured wood extracts, which may stain other surfaces.
Do not use the colourless version on wood directly exposed to the weather. When used on interior wood,
apply a topcoat, such as a colourless varnish. We recommend Xyladecor Total Varnish.
