"Anarchiste convaincu, politicien écologiste, artiste révolutionnaire et musicien hyperactif,
Jello Biafra est certainement l'une des figures les plus importantes de la scène hardcore
punk underground des 30 dernières années. On ne comptera pas ici ses innombrables
col aborations musicales mais il sera néanmoins difficile d'occulter l'influence qu'on eu les
Dead Kennedys, emmenés par Biafra, sur la musique alternative d'aujourd'hui.
Col aborateur des plus fines lames de la scène rock/punk/metal/indus (Ministry,
Sepultura, les Melvins, Revolting Cocks, Napalm Death, NoMeansNo.), l'homme est
également connu pour être le fondateur et tête pensante du label Alternative Tentacles.
En 2009, Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine c’est :
La « paire » de Freak Accident Ralph Spight/Kimo Bal aux guitares, Bil y Gould (Faith No
More) au poste de bassiste et Jon Weiss (Sharkbait) à la batterie.
Ensemble, ils enregistrent un premier album, The Audacity of hype, qui voit le jour
quelques mois plus tard ,et en 2011 , un deuxième EP : Enhanced Methods of
Questionning.
En 2013, ils arrivent avec un nouvel album : White People And The Damage Done,
en bac actuellement !
