Dave was surprised on Tuesday, October 15, when he was working on the ambulance at house 3 and was called to house 1 for an important is- sue. Once he arrived he was told 3 firefighters and 2 police officers were waiting for him in the boardroom. To his surprise many of the staff of SFCAD were waiting along with a miniature fire truck, police car, ambulance, 3 toy firefighters, and 3 toy police officers. All was to celebrate “Bosses Day” and show the SFCAD Staff’s appre- ciation for all he does. I think it shows some- thing that the staff had to find a way to get him to come from house 3 where he was working on Happy Halloween

St. Francois County Ambulance District Safe Neighborhood Hero’s Grant William Sedgwick and Jamie Wagganer were repre- senting St. Francois County Ambulance District when they accepted a grant of $1200.00 from Julie Hulsey of Wal-Mart. This is the first year the ambulance has received the grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation and the presentation was made at the Wal-Mart Super- center in Farmington. The money was used to offset some of the costs from SFCAD’s EMS Week picnic in Administrator Interview

This month is special for the newsletter. What started our as a few pages and make a few copies is growing and growing. Initial circulation was to just the staff of SFCAD, then moved to 25 copies for the hospitals. Then we started sending to fire departments, now I expect circu- lation to top out over 100 copies minimum each month. With that I would like to welcome all who this is the first issue of the SFCAD News. We try to give our staff mem- bers something to read about, and at the same time give some insight to the communities ambulance service. Any- Newsletter Staff
