What’s in your medicine
Remember, this medicine is only for you. Only a dentist can prescribe it CRESOPHENE is a clear, slightly yellow solution which contains per for you. About your medicine
CRESOPHENE is an association of three antiseptic agents, including apowerful bactericide, parachlorophenol, with a corticosteroid. Thismedicine can only be given to you by your dentist. It is most commonlyused for the disinfection of root canals.
Before this medicine is used
Before this solution is used, tell your dentist if: - you have been given CRESOPHENE before and had an allergicreaction (rashes, swelling, itching or difficulty in breathing).
- it is best to let your dentist know if you are taking any other medicines,including those you have bought yourself without a prescription. - you are sensitive to any of the active ingredients in CRESOPHENE.
How this medicine will be used
Your dentist knows how to use CRESOPHENE. He will give you thedose needed, which depends on the treatment you are having.
The usual dose of CRESOPHENE is about 50 mg, applied once andmaybe a second time if necessary. Your dentist will apply it to the rootcanal.
If you see another dentist or go into hospital, tell them what medicinesyou are taking.
What to do if an overdose is taken
If you (or someone else) swallow a lot of the solution, or if you think achild has swallowed any of it, contact your nearest hospital casualtydepartment or dentist immediately.
