Contest rules

1. a) “Contest Period” begins Friday October 25, 2013 at approximately 12:01am MT and ends on Sunday November 24th, 2013 at 11:59 pm MT (the “Contest Closing Date”). There are three (3) ways to enter: (i) visit www.rock979.ca and sign up for the ROCKSTAR VIP CLUB, for free by fully completing the sign up information and then spend 10,000 points for an entry into the weekly Contest raffle, to be submitted by the Contest Closing Date, or if you are already a member of the ROCKSTAR VIP CLUB, log into your account and spend 10,000 points by the Contest Closing Date. (ii) visit www.rock979.ca and sign up for the ROCKSTAR VIP CLUB, for free by fully completing the sign up information and then enter the secondary raffle for 500 points for the name call-out draw. There will be a min. of (35) contest plays during the Contest Period. You may enter as many times as you like during the raffles but you can only qualify once. (iii) Visit one of our designated sponsor locations during the designated times we will set forth for a two (2) hour on-location broadcast, complete an original (photocopies, facsimiles or other reproductions will not be eligible) entry ballot and place in the ballot box at the location. Callout qualifiers will have thirty (30) minutes to respond once their name is called. If no response is heard, or no one responds after thirty (30) minutes, ROCK 97.9 will not declare a qualifier until the next designated time (7:20AM and 4:20PM Monday-Friday, 12:20PM Saturday and Sunday). In the event a call is cut off before all personal data is collected, ROCK 97.9 will make its best efforts to make contact with the cut off caller provided enough personal information was gathered in order to correctly identify the cut off caller. All entrants selected will be deemed as (“Qualifiers”). (b) Selected entrants will be contacted by telephone at the telephone number indicated on the selected entrant's member account/entry ballot or the telephone number provided at the time of on-air qualifying. If a selected entrant cannot be reached by Monday November 25th, 2013 or declines the chance to be a qualifier for the Grand Prize, another entrant will be selected on Tuesday November 26th, 2013. (c) Multiple individuals in one (1) household may enter the contest as often as they like, however there can only be one (1) qualifier per household. “Household” is defined as a separate, self-contained residence which has a unique municipal address. Proof may be required to be provided to ensure compliance with this rule. Rogers in its sole discretion will determine whether a household meets this condition. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s). (d) All forty (40) entrants will be deemed as Qualifiers (“Qualifiers”). These Qualifiers will be invited to attend the Grand Prize Draw Event (“Event”) to be held at Boomtown Casino on Wednesday November 27th from 8 – 10pm. All Qualifiers (or their designated proxies) must be in attendance and registered at the Event in order to be eligible to win the Grand Prize. All Qualifiers will be required to register with Contest officials upon arrival at the Event, by a specified time to be determined on by Rock 97.9 by phone/email. Failure to officially register at the Event by the pre-determined time may result in disqualification from the Contest. Any Qualifier who cannot attend the Event must notify Contest officials in advance, in writing; with the name of their designated proxy who will participate on their behalf (designated proxy must be over the age of 18). Failure to notify Contest officials by the predetermined time will result in disqualification from the Contest. Deadline for proxy notification is Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 4:00pm. (e) At the Event, a bracket style BINGO game (the “game”) will be held from all Qualifiers present and registered and in attendance, to determine the Grand Prize winner. The tournament will be a group-elimination tournament. The first person to declare ‘bingo’ will receive the grand prize. All decisions by Rogers staff are final and non-negotiable. 2. No purchase, expenditure or investment is necessary to enter this Contest. All prizes must be accepted as awarded, may not be transferred or exchanged and may not be converted to cash. Rogers reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised Grand Prize. 3. Unbelieveably cool!  A Sony Playstation 4 Home Entertainment System 4. Grand prize package must be accepted as awarded. There is no cash equivalent for the prize package or any portion thereof. Grand prize cannot be sold or traded. Void if sold. Any portion of Grand Prize not redeemed will be forfeited. Any portions of the prize which require installation of the winner’s primary residence will require the winner to submit an affidavit attesting to their ownership of the residence where the installation is to take place. Should the grand prize winner be renting or leasing their dwelling, authorization from the owner/landlord will be required. 5. Rogers Radio Fort McMurray reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize. The time and place of the grand prize is subject to change without notice at the discretion of Rogers and Contest Sponsors. • Approximate retail value for the prize bundle is approximately $14,000CAD retail value. 6. In order to win, the selected Qualifier must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question. Rogers judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the promotion and the awarding of prizes. 7. The selected Qualifier will be required to return a signed release and acknowledgment form before being declared a winner. 8. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, and city of residence and/or photograph, voice or video recording in any publicity carried out by Rogers and its advertising agencies, without further compensation. Winners consent to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation. All entries become the property of Rogers 9. This Contest is open to all residents of Alberta, 18 years of age and older as of the date of entry, except employees of “Contest Sponsors”, its parent and affiliate companies; its representatives and agents, the Contest suppliers, any persons residing in their respective households [1] and any immediate family members [2]. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. 10. No communications will be entered into except with the selected entrants. 11. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Rogers is unaware of how many participants there may be. The winners may come from any eligible geographic area, so long as they otherwise qualify to enter the Contest. 12. Rogers is collecting personal data about entrants for the sole purpose of administering this Contest. No further informational or marketing communications will be received by the entrant unless the entrant provides Rogers with explicit permission to do so as indicated on the entry form. By entering this Contest, entrants release and hold harmless Rogers, its advertising and promotional agencies and the contest judge(s), their affiliates and respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with this Contest or, if declared a winner, the prize(s).
